As you can tell by the Spike Videogame Awards show it’s around that time to pick game of the year time again. But as I was contemplating who would receive my coveted vote for GOTY I realized that there were a lot of games this generation of consoles that I think deserve sequels but never got them. I have selected five that I’d love to see get quality sequels, which ones are on your list?

1) Heavenly Sword: This was the game that got my attention as far as the PS3 was concerned. Ninja Theory did an excellent job creating this hack-n-slash exclusive. The facial animations and voice overs in particular are still impressive.

2) Dante’s Inferno: I was very enthusiastic about this title when it was first announced and I wasn’t disappointed. DI surprised a lot of people who had written it off as doomed because of it’s close release date to God of War III.

3) Mirror’s Edge: First DI and now Mirror’s Edge, Electronic Arts (EA) was on a roll this year with some really stand out games; titles I poured hours of time into. Featuring first person parkour action, ME is a great title.

4) Shadow Complex: By far Epic’s Shadow Complex makes the Xbox Live Arcade hall of fame for this gem of downloadable title. Armed to the teeth and presented to you in glorious 2D, if you haven’t played it you need too.

5) Alan Wake: Now this game did get some love in the form of DLC and an XBLA game but not a true, disc based, “part 2” level sequel. Survival horror being my favorite genre, I found myself knee deep in Alan’s world and I wouldn’t mind going back!

I think the game that is more than deserving of a sequal is bulletstorm tell me what fps has a more original concept than using a leash to reel your advasarys in and kill them as you see fit.In a market full of so many military shooters taking such a realistic approach sometimes its just great to play a game that doesnt take itself to seriously

I create a leave a response when I especially enjoy a post on a blog or I have something to valuable to contribute to the discussion. It’s triggered by the passion communicated in the post I read. And on this post Daily Joystick Podcast Five current generation games that need a sequel. I was actually excited enough to leave a thought :-P I actually do have 2 questions for you if it’s okay. Could it be just me or do a few of the comments look like they are coming from brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are posting on additional online sites, I would like to keep up with everything fresh you have to post. Would you list all of your community sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
